About the role

The school seeks a passionate Primary Art Teacher to deliver a vibrant, standards‑aligned art curriculum for young learners. You will inspire creativity, support diverse learning needs, and uphold GEMS Core Values.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, deliver and assess engaging art lessons for primary students, adapting resources for varied learning styles.
• Maintain accurate records of curriculum plans, attendance, assessments and teaching resources.
• Use media and technology effectively within the classroom.
• Monitor student behaviour, promote self‑discipline and ensure a safe learning environment.
• Communicate regularly with parents about student progress while respecting confidentiality.
• Participate in co‑curricular and extra‑curricular activities, and assist in school events.
• Collaborate with colleagues on resource development and pastoral care.

Required profile

• Qualified teacher with strong subject knowledge in art and a commitment to primary education.
• Ability to differentiate instruction for ESL learners, late‑entering students, gifted and those needing additional support.
• Willingness to engage in continuous professional development and adhere to school policies.
