Primary (KS1 & KS2) Teacher – IGCSE Curriculum

About the role

GEMS Cambridge International School is seeking an experienced Primary Teacher to deliver KS1 and KS2 lessons within the IGCSE curriculum. The successful candidate will join a supportive community that values professional development and global career mobility.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging lessons for English, Maths and Science across KS1 and KS2.
• Implement the IGCSE curriculum while adhering to school policies and safeguarding procedures.
• Maintain accurate records, assess student progress and provide feedback to parents.
• Collaborate with colleagues across phases to ensure a cohesive learning experience.

Required profile

• PGCE with English/Maths/Science as the main subject, or a university degree in one of these subjects plus a teaching qualification (BEd/QTS).
• Minimum two years of practical experience in primary education.
• All certificates must be duly attested; distance or open‑university degrees accepted only with MOE equivalency.
• Experience with High Performance Learning (HPL) is an advantage.

Required skills

• Proficient use of IT tools for lesson planning and communication.
