Principal Architect – Integration & Automation

About the role

Edison Smart is seeking a seasoned Principal Architect to lead integration and automation initiatives for large enterprise customers in the UAE. This customer‑facing position combines technical pre‑sales, solution design, and strategic advisory to drive digital transformation across hybrid‑cloud environments.

Key responsibilities

• Lead enterprise integration and automation architecture engagements with major clients.
• Define API‑first, microservices and event‑driven architecture strategies.
• Shape integration opportunities from discovery through solution design to deal closure.
• Create solution blueprints, reference architectures, high‑level and low‑level designs, and sizing documentation.
• Advise on modernising legacy middleware and integration platforms.
• Design integration architectures spanning on‑premise, cloud and hybrid‑cloud environments.
• Collaborate with vendors and technology partners on joint solution design and go‑to‑market initiatives.
• Deliver technical workshops, architecture sessions and customer presentations.
• Develop reusable reference architectures and best‑practice guidelines.
• Support internal sales, pre‑sales and engineering teams with technical leadership.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related discipline.
• 10+ years of experience in enterprise IT, with a focus on integration, automation and cloud solutions.
• Proven experience engaging with CIOs, CTOs, Enterprise Architects and technology leaders.
