Principal Mechanical Engineer Rotating Equipment

About the role

The Principal Mechanical Engineer – Rotating Equipment will lead complex mechanical engineering studies, from concept through detailed design, for high‑value projects. Working independently with minimal guidance, you will provide technical direction and ensure engineering deliverables meet project specifications and standards.

Key responsibilities

• Perform conceptual, FEED and detailed analyses and design in accordance with project specifications, codes and standards.
• Prepare accurate design calculations, reports and procedures.
• Lead small to medium mechanical engineering teams, managing schedule, budget and resource allocation.
• Coordinate interfaces with other disciplines, customers, certifying authorities and third‑party auditors.
• Identify scope changes, raise change notifications and support variation orders.
• Act as the discipline representative in project meetings and ensure compliance with contractual requirements.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in mechanical engineering, preferably in rotating equipment.
• Proven ability to work independently and solve complex technical problems.
• Strong leadership and communication skills to guide multidisciplinary teams.
• Familiarity with engineering standards, design codes and project execution processes.
