Principal Mechanical Site Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a Principal Mechanical Site Engineer to lead the design, analysis, and implementation of mechanical systems for high‑profile building services, infrastructure and sustainability projects across the UAE. The role involves close collaboration with clients, architects, consultants and contractors to deliver compliant, energy‑efficient solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of HVAC, plumbing, fire protection and other mechanical systems for buildings and infrastructure.
• Ensure all designs comply with ASHRAE, CIBSE, NFPA, local codes and green‑building certifications such as LEED, Estidama, Mostadam and BREEAM.
• Provide technical guidance, review and approve design deliverables, and mentor junior engineers.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate mechanical solutions into overall project plans.
• Maintain compliance with UAE building regulations and international sustainability standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Building Services Engineering.
• Membership in the UAE Society of Engineers and Dubai Municipality Certified Engineer status.
• Minimum 15 years of design experience, at least 10 years on UAE projects.
• Chartered Engineer (CEng) and Data Centre experience preferred.
• Valid UAE driving licence and residence in the UAE.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Revit‑BIM for mechanical design.
• In‑depth knowledge of ASHRAE, CIBSE and NFPA standards.
• Experience with LEED, Estidama, Mostadam and BREEAM certification processes.
• Specialised expertise in data‑centre mechanical design and certification.
