Process Safety Engineer

About the role

Aktins is seeking a Process Safety Engineer to join its oil and gas projects in Sharjah. The role focuses on delivering high‑quality safety designs and studies for onshore and offshore facilities, ensuring compliance with international codes and standards.

Key responsibilities

• Develop detailed Process Safety designs, calculations and documentation for multi‑discipline projects.
• Apply international design codes and standards throughout the design lifecycle.
• Conduct Process Safety studies, including data collection, analysis, techno‑economic evaluation and risk assessments.
• Prepare and deliver project documentation according to schedule and quality requirements.
• Support construction and commissioning phases with technical assistance.

Required profile

• B.S. in Chemical Engineering or equivalent from an accredited institution.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in Process Safety design for onshore and offshore oil & gas projects.
• Proven ability to work within the Design‑Check‑Approve‑Authorize cycle and review technical deliverables.
• EPC company experience with conceptual design, FEED and detailed engineering.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
