Procurement Engineer - Civil

About the role

The Procurement Engineer – Civil will manage the sourcing and acquisition of civil construction materials and services for large‑scale projects. Working closely with project teams, consultants and suppliers, you will ensure timely delivery, cost efficiency and compliance with quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Manage end‑to‑end procurement of civil materials such as concrete, steel, formwork, blocks, waterproofing and finishes.
• Review BOQs, drawings and specifications to determine material requirements.
• Prepare and process purchase requisitions and purchase orders within approved budgets.
• Issue RFQs, evaluate technical and commercial bids, and negotiate pricing and delivery terms.
• Coordinate with project managers, site engineers, quantity surveyors and consultants to align procurement with construction schedules.
• Identify, evaluate and onboard approved vendors and suppliers.
• Track order status, deliveries and handover of materials to site, ensuring compliance with quality standards.
• Monitor procurement costs, support budget control and value‑engineering initiatives.
• Maintain accurate procurement documentation and ensure compliance with company policies and audit requirements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
• 5–10+ years of experience in civil procurement within construction or real‑estate development.
• Proven experience handling large‑scale construction projects in the GCC is preferred.
