Product Actuary – Employee Benefits

About the role

The Product Actuary – Employee Benefits will lead the design, pricing and development of group medical, life, disability and credit life insurance solutions for MetLife Gulf across the UAE and neighbouring markets. Reporting to the EB Technical Director Gulf, the role combines actuarial expertise with strategic product innovation.

Key responsibilities

• Design and price competitive insurance products aligned with business objectives and local market demand.
• Develop and maintain actuarial models for pricing, financial projections and profitability analysis.
• Collaborate with underwriting, sales, finance, operations and claims teams to ensure effective product positioning.
• Monitor product financial performance, analyse variances and recommend pricing adjustments.
• Prepare and present detailed actuarial reports and proposals to senior management.
• Stay up‑to‑date with legislative and regulatory changes and ensure product compliance.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics or related field.
• Qualified (fellow/associate) or nearly qualified actuary with a recognised actuarial body.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in pricing and product development for group medical, life, disability or credit life insurance.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities with excellent communication skills.
• Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
