Product Quality Senior Engineer

About the role

The Senior Product Quality Engineer will lead product approval activities for supplier‑manufactured parts across EDGE's PowerTech propulsion programmes, including turbofan, micro‑jet and piston engines used in aerospace and defence applications.

Key responsibilities

• Review and approve supplier APQP submissions (process flow diagrams, PFMEA, control plans, MSA) in line with AS9145.
• Validate and sign off PPAP packages before serial production.
• Assess and approve First Article Inspection reports according to AS9102, including ballooned drawings and characteristic accountability.
• Determine full or partial FAI requirements driven by design, process, material, tooling, location or sub‑tier changes.
• Maintain approval gates, ensuring evidence is sufficient before release.
• Coordinate configuration and change management between Design Engineering, Supply Chain and suppliers.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior Product Quality Engineers.

Required profile

• Engineering degree (mechanical, aerospace or related) with several years of product quality experience in aerospace or defence.
• Proven knowledge of AS9145, AS9102 and related aerospace quality standards.
• Strong analytical mindset and ability to work cross‑functionally.
