Product Quality Senior Engineer

About the role

The Senior Product Quality Engineer is responsible for product approval authority of supplier‑manufactured parts across Powertech propulsion programs, including turbofan, microjet and piston engines. The role ensures compliance with aerospace quality standards and coordinates configuration and change management between design, supply chain and suppliers.

Key responsibilities

• Review and approve supplier APQP, PPAP and first article inspection submissions in line with AS9145 and AS9102.
• Define inspection and acceptance requirements, sampling strategies and acceptance criteria for supplier parts.
• Manage nonconformance, material review records, concessions and 8D corrective actions.
• Coordinate design change implementation, maintain configuration traceability and assess impacts on FAI, PPAP and inspection plans.
• Engage with suppliers through gate reviews, on‑site audits and source inspections.
• Provide technical leadership, mentor junior engineers and develop standardized approval procedures.

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Master's in Mechanical, Aerospace, Manufacturing, Materials or Metrology Engineering.
• 6+ years of aerospace or supplier quality experience with authority‑level approval of APQP, PPAP and first article packages.
• Strong GD&T, tolerance interpretation and drawing analysis skills.
• Experience with metrology equipment, statistical process control and process capability assessment.
