Product Support Engineer

About the role

The Product Support Engineer will provide day‑to‑day operational support for Hunting’s well‑intervention product portfolio. The role bridges shop‑floor activities and engineering, ensuring designs move from concept to final product while meeting quality and reliability standards.

Key responsibilities

• Support sustaining and live sales order projects, creating test plans, reports, manuals and conducting testing.
• Manage non‑conformance disposition, escalation and engineering change management.
• Assist with regulatory submissions, certification files and related documentation.
• Take projects from concept/contract stage to the wider engineering team, communicating requirements.
• Participate in field trials, design verification, evaluation and validation.
• Provide hands‑on assistance during assembly and testing of prototypes or new designs.

Required profile

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering with demonstrable experience in the oil‑and‑gas manufacturing sector.
• Solid knowledge of API, DNV and NACE standards and experience designing oilfield products.
• Excellent written and oral communication, influencing and interpersonal skills.
• Full driving licence and willingness to travel and spend time away from home.

Required skills

• Mechanical engineering design and 3D sketching.
• Mathematical modelling and engineering design software.
• Knowledge of oilfield engineering materials and manufacturing methods.
• Familiarity with API, DNV and NACE standards.
