Program QA/QC Engineer – Electrical (Substation & Power Transmission)

About the role

The QA/QC Engineer will lead the Project Quality Management System for KBR’s large‑scale power and water transmission scheme in Abu Dhabi. Reporting to the QA/QC Manager, the role ensures compliance with regulatory standards, oversees multiple supervision consultants and EPC contractors, and drives continuous improvement across the program.

Key responsibilities

• Support implementation and maintenance of the Program Quality Management System across all assigned projects.
• Monitor consultant and contractor compliance with approved Project Quality Plans, procedures, specifications and contractual requirements.
• Coordinate collection, review and consolidation of monthly QA/QC reports and dashboards.
• Manage internal and external audit schedules, track non‑conformance reports (NCRs) and ensure timely corrective actions.
• Participate in site quality surveillance visits, inspect test plans and verify implementation of approved procedures.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant engineering discipline.
• ISO 9001 Lead Auditor certification.
• Minimum 5 years of QA/QC experience on power transmission or substation projects.
• Proven experience in a similar role within large‑scale programmes.

Required skills

• In‑depth knowledge of project management methodologies and tools.
• Comprehensive understanding of ISO 9001:2015 processes, procedures and requirements.
