Program QA/QC Engineer – Mechanical (Substation & Power Transmission)

About the role

The QA/QC Engineer will oversee the Project Quality Management System for a large‑scale Power and Water Transmission Scheme in Abu Dhabi. Acting as the Programme Management Consultant (PMC) lead, the role coordinates multiple supervision consultants and EPCs, ensuring regulatory compliance, strategic planning and effective quality oversight across mechanical substation and transmission works.

Key responsibilities

• Support implementation and maintenance of the Program Quality Management System across all assigned projects.
• Monitor consultant and contractor compliance with approved Project Quality Plans, specifications and contractual requirements.
• Manage internal and external audit schedules, follow up on audit reports, NCRs and corrective actions.
• Coordinate collection, review and consolidation of monthly QA/QC reports and dashboards.
• Track quality KPIs, analyse performance trends and prepare management summaries.
• Participate in site quality surveillance visits, inspect test plans and verify documentation such as ITPs, FAT/SAT reports and inspection records.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree.
• ISO 9001 Lead Auditor certification.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in QA/QC on power or water transmission projects.
• Proven experience in a similar programme‑level role.

Required skills

• In‑depth knowledge of project management methodologies and tools.
• In‑depth knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 processes, procedures and requirements.
