Programme Management Officer

About the role

The Programme Management Officer (P4) will lead the Raptors MoU Coordinating Unit at the CMS Office in Abu Dhabi. Reporting to the CMS Executive Secretary and the Executive Coordinator, the officer will oversee the implementation of key conservation agreements for migratory birds of prey and dugongs.

Key responsibilities

• Head the Raptors MoU Coordinating Unit and supervise the Associate Programme Management Officer.
• Manage MoU processes, including coordination with signatory parties and the Technical Advisory Group.
• Develop and support national and regional conservation strategies.
• Oversee the Vultures Multi‑species Action Plan and the Saker Falcon Global Action Plan.
• Address cross‑cutting issues such as illegal killing, trade, poisoning, and electrocution of migratory species.
• Jointly supervise activities related to the Dugong MoU alongside the Dugong MoU Coordinator.
