Programme Quality Engineer I

About the role

The Programme Quality Engineer I (PQE I) will lead quality activities across the full lifecycle of advanced defence and technology programmes. Reporting to programme management, the role ensures that all products, processes and activities meet customer, contractual, regulatory and company standards.

Key responsibilities

• Lead programme quality assurance from design through production readiness.
• Develop, maintain and implement the Quality Assurance Plan (QAP) in line with approved standards and milestones.
• Provide independent quality oversight and governance, participating in programme, stage‑gate and management reviews.
• Manage quality risks, non‑conformances and corrective actions within the assigned scope.
• Coordinate quality activities across engineering, DFAM, manufacturing, configuration management and other interfacing functions.
• Ensure testing readiness, audit governance and continuous improvement throughout the product lifecycle.

• Responsible for end‑to‑end programme quality support and compliance.
• Supports programme governance, decision‑making and stakeholder coordination.
• Manages quality risks and non‑conformances, promoting continual improvement.
