Project Cost Controller – 8‑Month Short‑Term Role

About the role

Wood is seeking a Project Cost Controller for an eight‑month short‑term assignment on a major on‑shore brownfield project in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. The position is full‑time, residential and includes occasional travel to support project sites. The controller will lead cost, planning, scheduling and risk‑assessment activities to ensure effective project controls.

Key responsibilities

• Lead cost planning and cost control processes for the project.
• Develop and maintain project schedules using Microsoft Project and Primavera.
• Perform risk assessments and manage risk registers.
• Provide regular cost, schedule and risk reports to senior management.
• Coordinate with engineering, procurement and construction teams to align project controls.

Required profile

• Minimum 72 months (6 years) of experience in project cost control or similar roles.
• Experience in oil and gas or large‑scale industrial projects is preferred.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to work in a fast‑paced environment.
