Project Director – Nuclear Power Plant Infrastructure

About the role

Parsons Corporation is seeking an experienced Project Director to lead the delivery of major infrastructure and utilities works for a nuclear power plant in Abu Dhabi, UAE. The role combines senior client representation, multidisciplinary team leadership, and end‑to‑end responsibility for engineering, construction, commissioning and handover.

Key responsibilities

• Act as Parsons’ senior representative with clients, designers, regulators, authorities and key stakeholders.
• Provide leadership throughout engineering, procurement, construction, installation, testing, commissioning, fuel‑loading readiness, operational handover and close‑out phases.
• Review and endorse core project documents such as the Project Execution Plan, Nuclear Safety Plan, Quality Assurance Program and related governance frameworks.
• Oversee coordination of multidisciplinary teams ensuring compliance with safety cases, licensing commitments, nuclear quality standards and contractual obligations.
• Promote a strong nuclear safety culture, making safety the overriding priority in all decisions.
• Manage financial performance, budgets, forecasts, change management, contract administration and commercial risk.
• Identify and mitigate technical, licensing, construction, commissioning, schedule, supply‑chain, security, environmental and stakeholder risks.
• Lead negotiations on scope changes, variations, claims, design changes and contract amendments.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading large‑scale nuclear power infrastructure projects.
• Strong ability to manage multidisciplinary teams and interact with regulators and authorities.
• Deep knowledge of nuclear safety regulations, licensing requirements and quality standards.
• Demonstrated expertise in contract administration, commercial risk management and financial control.
• Excellent stakeholder coordination and negotiation skills.
