Project Engineer - Bridge Maintenance Project

About the role

Manage and supervise day‑to‑day bridge maintenance activities, ensuring that works are completed safely, on schedule and within budget.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate with client, consultant, subcontractors and internal teams to ensure smooth project execution.
• Monitor site progress and verify compliance with specifications, quality standards and approved procedures.
• Plan and allocate manpower, equipment and materials for efficient delivery.
• Ensure adherence to Health, Safety, Environment (HSE) and quality requirements.
• Review technical drawings, method statements and work schedules.
• Prepare daily, weekly and monthly progress reports and maintain project documentation.
• Attend project meetings and resolve technical and site‑related issues.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
• 8–10 years of experience as a Project Engineer on bridge maintenance or rehabilitation projects in the UAE.
• Experience with government or semi‑government infrastructure projects is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of bridge maintenance practices, construction methods and project execution.
• Valid UAE driving licence (mandatory).

Required skills

• Strong project planning and site coordination abilities.
• Good understanding of construction drawings, specifications and quality standards.
• Knowledge of UAE HSE regulations and safe work practices.
• Excellent communication, leadership and problem‑solving skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; knowledge of Primavera P6 is an advantage.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple site activities.
