Project Engineer – Construction

About the role

The Project Engineer will join Gardinia Contracting’s fast‑growing construction team, supporting high‑profile developments such as Burj Azizi and the Azizi Venice master community. Reporting to the Construction Manager, you will coordinate site activities, ensure compliance with Dubai building regulations, and drive projects to on‑time completion.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and cooperate with all site participants, including consultants, Dubai Municipality, subcontractors, and internal teams.
• Complete online transactions on the Dubai Building Permits System (BPS) and Dubai Municipality portal.
• Study drawings, specifications, and quality plans to extract data for material requisition and work execution.
• Prepare sketches and illustration drawings to guide foremen.
• Monitor daily works against QA/QC policies, standards, and specifications.
• Inspect work progress, hand over completed sections to consultants and the municipality.
• Prepare project status reports, daily program reports, and short‑term schedules for critical or delayed activities.
• Coordinate with the safety team and attend kickoff meetings with vendors.

Required profile

• Minimum 8 years of experience in construction engineering or project coordination.
• Proven ability to work with Dubai building permits and municipal processes.
• Strong knowledge of civil engineering principles and building‑science concepts.
• Excellent problem‑solving skills and ability to lead on‑site teams.
