Project Manager – Building Construction

About the role

The Project Manager will lead large‑scale building construction projects in Qatar, ensuring delivery in line with contract requirements, budget, quality standards, schedule and safety objectives. The role involves coordinating multidisciplinary teams and maintaining effective communication with clients, consultants, subcontractors and local authorities throughout the project lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Manage day‑to‑day execution of the project and achieve objectives according to contractual terms.
• Lead and coordinate engineering, construction, commercial, planning, procurement and client‑interface activities.
• Ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget and to required quality standards.
• Monitor progress, implement corrective actions and mitigate delays or cost overruns.
• Manage project risks, contractual matters and stakeholder expectations.
• Secure approvals from consultants, authorities and subcontractors to maintain progress.
• Ensure compliance with local regulations, authority requirements and company HSE policies.
• Prepare and present regular progress reports to senior management and clients.
• Promote a high‑performance culture focused on safety, quality and delivery excellence.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
• Minimum 15 years of overall construction experience, including at least 5 years as a Project Manager on major building projects.
• Strong GCC construction experience, with recent experience in the UAE.
• Valid MMUP/UPDA registration where applicable.
• Currently based in the UAE and willing to relocate to Qatar, available to start immediately.
• Experience working with Tier‑1 contractors on major building projects.
• Good understanding of Qatar market practices and project delivery requirements.
