Project Manager – Civil Engineer

About the role

SharpMinds Consulting Engineers is seeking an experienced Project Manager with a civil engineering background to support the Projects Director in delivering complex infrastructure projects across Abu Dhabi and Dubai. The role involves overseeing the full project lifecycle, from concept design through construction completion, while maintaining strong client relationships.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Projects Director in coordinating all project phases, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to scope.
• Act as the primary client liaison, managing communication and expectations.
• Coordinate design, engineering, and site teams to meet project objectives.
• Monitor progress, prepare status reports, and present updates to internal and client stakeholders.
• Review technical documentation, manage submissions and approvals in line with local authority standards.
• Participate in site visits, inspections, and coordination meetings with contractors and stakeholders.
• Develop and manage project timelines, risk assessments, and action plans.
• Support design development, tendering, and construction phases while ensuring compliance with UAE regulations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• Minimum 10 years of UAE‑based experience, preferably on projects in both Abu Dhabi and Dubai.
• Experience in healthcare, residential, commercial, hospitality, or institutional sectors.
• Strong knowledge of UAE construction codes, municipality procedures, and permitting processes.
• Excellent written and spoken English; Arabic is a plus.
• UAE driving licence preferred.
