Project Manager IMU - Navigation

About the role

EDGE is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the delivery of complex navigation subsystem programs within a highly technical, mission‑critical environment. The role involves driving projects from concept through successful completion while aligning with strategic objectives, budget, quality, schedule and performance requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, execute and deliver Navigation Subsystem projects from concept to completion.
• Define and manage scope, schedules, milestones, resources, budgets and deliverables.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to develop system‑engineering, testing, quality and configuration‑management plans.
• Ensure deliverables meet contractual, technical and organisational standards.
• Engage internal and external stakeholders to align outcomes with business objectives and customer expectations.
• Monitor project performance, budgets and resource utilisation for on‑time, cost‑effective delivery.
• Identify, assess and mitigate risks, issues and dependencies throughout the project lifecycle.
• Establish project governance, reporting and communication processes for leadership and stakeholders.
• Manage project changes with appropriate controls and drive continuous‑improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing navigation‑related subsystem projects in a defence or advanced‑technology setting.
• Strong ability to coordinate multidisciplinary teams and work closely with engineering, program‑management and business stakeholders.
• Demonstrated competence in budgeting, scheduling, risk management and project governance.
• Excellent communication skills to align project outcomes with customer expectations.
