Project Manager – STP & Water Distribution Network

About the role

Sener is looking for an experienced Project Manager to lead complex sewage treatment plant (STP) and water transmission/distribution network projects across the United Arab Emirates. The role combines technical design expertise with full‑cycle project management, ensuring delivery of high‑impact water infrastructure.

Key responsibilities

• Lead projects from initiation through design, construction, and hand‑over, meeting scope, schedule, cost, quality and client objectives.
• Manage multidisciplinary engineering teams, coordinate resources, and oversee technical interfaces.
• Provide technical direction on STP and water transmission/distribution network design.
• Control project budgets, risks, changes, and contractual deliverables.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, authorities, contractors and other stakeholders.
• Monitor performance, identify issues and implement mitigation measures.
• Ensure compliance with contractual, regulatory and quality standards.
• Facilitate project meetings, design reviews and progress reporting.

Required profile

• Minimum 15 years of engineering experience with a strong design background in water and wastewater infrastructure.
• Proven track record in managing STP and large water transmission/distribution projects.
• Career progression from hands‑on design engineering to project or design management.
• Extensive experience in scope, schedule, cost, risk and change management.
• Demonstrated ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and manage complex interfaces.
• Strong client and stakeholder management experience within an engineering consultancy.
