Proposal Engineer

About the role

SIMCO, a provider of engineering services for civil infrastructure, is expanding internationally and seeks a Proposal Engineer to join its Dubai team. The role supports the preparation of accurate cost proposals and technical documentation for structural and durability projects.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare Bills of Quantities (BOQs).
• Perform material, labor, and equipment quantity calculations.
• Prepare cost estimates for engineering projects.
• Request and evaluate supplier and subcontractor quotations.
• Prepare technical and commercial proposals.
• Maintain estimation databases and cost records.
• Ensure estimates are accurate, complete, and submitted within deadlines.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering with at least 2 years of relevant experience.
• Fundamental knowledge of estimation principles and basic understanding of NDT and SDT methodologies.
• Familiarity with construction fieldwork, concrete repair, structural rehabilitation, waterproofing, protective coatings, or infrastructure maintenance is an advantage.
• Ability to perform quantity take‑offs from drawings and specifications.
• Understanding of durability, condition assessment, or structural inspection services is desirable.
