Purchasing Manager – Drywall & Ceiling Partition Materials

About the role

EJABI Modern is looking for an experienced Purchasing Manager to lead the sourcing, procurement and supplier management of drywall, ceiling partition and related construction materials. The role ensures cost‑effective, timely and quality‑compliant procurement to support the company’s leadership in the Gulf region.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute procurement strategies for gypsum board, cement board, steel profiles, T‑grid systems, ceiling tiles, access panels and metal accessories.
• Identify, evaluate and negotiate with local and international suppliers to secure competitive pricing, quality and reliable lead times.
• Manage the full purchase order cycle – from RFQs and negotiations to contracts, order placement and delivery tracking.
• Coordinate demand forecasting with sales, projects and warehouse teams to maintain optimal stock levels.
• Maintain relationships with manufacturers and logistics partners for sea/air freight and customs clearance in the GCC.
• Ensure all procured materials comply with ISO 9001, 14001 and 45001 standards.
• Monitor market trends, raw‑material pricing and currency fluctuations to advise management.
• Negotiate annual supply agreements, payment terms and volume‑based discounts.
• Prepare procurement budgets, cost‑analysis reports and supplier performance KPIs.
• Collaborate with QA/QC and warehouse teams on material inspection and project specification compliance.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Civil/Industrial Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of purchasing/procurement experience in building materials, drywall, gypsum or construction supply.
• Strong knowledge of drywall and ceiling systems and related products.
• Proven experience in supplier sourcing, contract negotiation and vendor management.
• Familiarity with import/export processes, customs procedures and GCC logistics.
• Fluency in English; Arabic is a plus.
• Valid UAE driving licence preferred; transferable residency/work visa as applicable.

Required skills

• Proficiency with ERP/procurement software.
• Advanced MS Excel for cost analysis and reporting.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 standards.
• Understanding of import/export documentation and customs clearance in the GCC.
• Experience with logistics coordination for sea and air freight.
