QHSE Manager

About the role

The QHSE Manager will lead the development, implementation and continuous improvement of the company's Quality, Health, Safety and Environment management system. Reporting to the General Manager, you will ensure plant operations meet corporate standards, UAE regulations and contractual obligations while protecting people, assets and the environment.

Key responsibilities

• Establish, implement and maintain an Integrated Management System aligned with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001 and ISO 50001.
• Define and update QHSE policies, procedures, work instructions and operational controls for the site.
• Monitor legal and regulatory compliance, maintain a legal register and act as the primary liaison with external authorities and certification bodies.
• Develop and coordinate health and safety programmes, including behavioural safety initiatives and a permit‑to‑work system for high‑risk activities.
• Lead risk assessments, safety evaluations and investigations of accidents or near‑misses.
• Prepare and submit permits, licences, consents and regulatory reports, ensuring ongoing compliance.
• Provide regular performance updates, manage non‑conformities, and drive continuous improvement through management reviews.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing QHSE functions in an industrial or plant environment.
• Strong knowledge of UAE health, safety and environmental legislation.
• Ability to communicate effectively with senior management and external regulators.
• Analytical mindset with a focus on risk mitigation and continuous improvement.
