Quality Inspector – Electrical & Instrumentation

About the role

The Quality Inspector – E&I ensures that all electrical and instrumentation works on civil and oil‑&‑gas projects meet the approved drawings, specifications, Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs) and relevant standards. You will coordinate inspections, verify workmanship, and support the closure of non‑conformances to deliver high‑quality outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Review approved E&I drawings, specifications, method statements and ITPs to plan daily inspection activities.
• Inspect electrical installations such as cable laying, terminations, earthing, lighting panels, MDB/SMDB/MCC and verify compliance.
• Inspect instrumentation installations including transmitters, control valves, tubing, junction boxes and ensure correct tagging and mounting.
• Witness and record testing activities – continuity, insulation resistance, earth resistance, calibration and functional tests.
• Prepare and follow up Work Inspection Requests (WIR/RFI) and Material Inspection Requests (MIR).
• Participate in joint inspections with clients, consultants and third‑party inspectors.
• Produce daily E&I quality inspection reports and maintain inspection checklists and records.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years (60 months) of experience in electrical and instrumentation quality inspection.
• Familiarity with civil and oil‑&‑gas project environments.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to document inspection outcomes accurately.
