Quality Manager – Offshore Projects

About the role

KBR is seeking an experienced Quality Manager to lead QA/QC activities for an offshore project based in Abu Dhabi. The role covers the full project life‑cycle from engineering through commissioning and offshore operations.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, implement and maintain the Project Quality Plan (PQP) and ensure compliance with ISO 9001 and client specifications.
• Lead all QA/QC activities, review and approve Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs), method statements and quality procedures.
• Monitor fabrication, welding, coating, NDT, mechanical completion and commissioning activities.
• Evaluate and qualify suppliers, conduct audits and monitor vendor quality performance.
• Plan and conduct internal audits, coordinate client and third‑party audits, and track corrective actions.
• Maintain project quality records, prepare performance reports and present status updates to management.
• Investigate non‑conformance reports, perform root‑cause analysis and drive corrective actions.
• Manage and mentor QA/QC engineers, inspectors and coordinators, promoting a culture of continuous improvement.
• Ensure all quality work complies with HSE requirements and offshore regulatory standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Civil, Marine, Metallurgical, Industrial engineering or related field.
• 18+ years of QA/QC experience in oil & gas, offshore or EPC projects, with at least 5 years in a quality management leadership role.
• Professional certifications such as ISO 9001 Lead Auditor, Certified Quality Engineer (CQE), CSWIP 3.1/3.2, NACE/FROSIO coating inspector or API Q1/Q2 are preferred.
• Proven experience on offshore platforms, subsea systems, jackets, topsides, pipelines or FPSO projects.
