Quantitative Researcher – Quantitative Strategies

About the role

We are seeking a Quantitative Researcher to join our Quantitative Strategies team, focusing on systematic equity trading in Asian markets. The role combines quantitative analysis with hands‑on trading experience, allowing you to develop and deploy strategies across multiple venues.

Key responsibilities

• Design, test, and implement systematic equity trading strategies for Asian markets, including China Mainland, Japan, Hong Kong, and Taiwan.
• Apply knowledge of market rules, trading conventions, and venue characteristics to optimise strategy deployment.
• Conduct quantitative research on alpha signals, covering idea generation, data processing, and statistical analysis.
• Implement and monitor live trading strategies across multiple venues.
• Perform market‑specific analysis and continuously improve model performance.

Required profile

• Degree in Mathematics, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related STEM field from a top‑ranked university.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in quantitative trading, desk‑quant, or quantitative research with exposure to live equity trading.
• Hands‑on experience with Asian equity markets and familiarity with market rules and conventions.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and communication skills.
• Entrepreneurial mindset, self‑motivated and able to work independently in a fast‑paced environment.
