Quantity Surveyor

About the role

The Quantity Surveyor will manage the commercial and contractual aspects of interior design, fit‑out, renovation and construction projects from the tender stage through to completion. The role ensures accurate measurement, competitive pricing and strict budget control while safeguarding the company’s financial interests.

Key responsibilities

• Review tender documents, drawings, specifications and BOQs; prepare detailed quantity take‑offs and measurements.
• Develop accurate cost estimates, tender pricing and evaluate subcontractor/supplier quotations.
• Negotiate rates, commercial terms and prepare tender comparison sheets and recommendations.
• Establish and maintain project budgets, monitor expenditures, track variations and forecast costs.
• Prepare regular cost reports, identify potential overruns and recommend corrective actions.
• Manage subcontractor and supplier enquiries, negotiate contracts, review progress claims and verify completed quantities before payment.
• Maintain professional commercial relationships with subcontractors and suppliers.
• Prepare detailed measurements for architectural, civil, MEP, joinery, furniture and fit‑out items.
