Rail Systems Manager

About the role

Parsons is seeking an experienced Rail Systems Manager to lead the integration, coordination, and delivery of all rail systems for a large rail infrastructure project. You will work across multiple disciplines, ensuring seamless interaction between signalling, power, communications, rolling stock, and airport interfaces.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage the overall coordination, integration, and delivery of rail systems throughout all project stages.
• Oversee multidisciplinary systems including ATC/CBTC signalling, telecommunications, traction power, SCADA, OCC, rolling stock, platform systems, PSDs, and depot systems.
• Ensure full integration between rail, airport, passenger, operational, and baggage handling systems where applicable.
• Coordinate interface management between civil, architectural, MEP, railway, airport, and operational stakeholders.
• Support development of rail system strategies, operational concepts, technical requirements, and performance criteria.
• Lead systems engineering activities such as requirements management, verification, validation, and assurance.
• Prepare and review design and construct tender documentation, technical specifications, and interface requirements.
• Support testing and commissioning, including FAT, SAT, SIT, integrated testing, trial operations, and operational readiness.
• Identify and mitigate technical, operational, interface, and integration risks.
• Ensure compliance with project specifications, international railway standards, and authority regulations.

Required profile

• Relevant engineering degree (e.g., Electrical, Mechanical, Railway Engineering).
• Proven experience managing large‑scale rail or transport infrastructure projects.
• Strong understanding of rail system integration and airport interface requirements.
• Ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and coordinate with diverse stakeholders.
