Ramp Team Leader

About the role

The Ramp Team Leader provides front‑line leadership and operational supervision during aircraft turnaround activities, ensuring safe, efficient loading and unloading of aircraft deadload. The role is responsible for maintaining the highest safety standards, coordinating ramp resources, and leading teams in compliance with SOPs and service requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Accountable for the safe loading and unloading of aircraft deadload.
• Act as focal point for all team members, ensuring smooth collaboration during turnaround activities.
• Ensure all SOPs are adhered to by self and team to maintain safe operation.
• Promote safety across aircraft turnaround activities and report hazards or occurrences immediately.
• Communicate clearly at all levels, conduct team briefings and complete relevant reports.
• Check aircraft contact points for damage on arrival and departure and report irregularities to the Duty Manager.
• Report all hazards and occurrences to management, raising GSRs as required within corporate guidelines.
• Coordinate ramp resources to support efficient aircraft turnaround.

Required profile

• High school diploma.
• Minimum of 3 years airport ground handling experience.
