Range Services Technician

About the role

The Range Services Technician supports the setup, maintenance, and operation of test range facilities at the Abu Al Abyad Test Range in Abu Dhabi. Working closely with engineers, clients, Range Conducting Officers and contractors, the role ensures testing activities are delivered safely, efficiently and in line with operational requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare test sites by installing equipment, barriers, targets and supporting infrastructure.
• Deploy, operate and maintain testing equipment and systems.
• Conduct routine inspections and maintenance of range facilities and equipment.
• Coordinate with Operations, RCOs and SMEs to ensure client‑booked infrastructure is ready.
• Provide technical field support for temporary installations, targetry and ad‑hoc mechanical or electrical work.
• Support client needs for hygiene facilities, air‑conditioning, power and water.
• Operate a variety of vehicles and support systems as required.
• Record operational data and ensure compliance with safety regulations and procedures.
• Maintain documentation and inventory of equipment, tools and spare parts.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of experience in technical, field services, testing, maintenance or operational support.
• Associate degree or technical qualification in Electronics, Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Valid UAE driving licence.
• Experience operating and maintaining technical equipment or machinery.
