Receiving Clerk

About the role

The First Group Hospitality is seeking a Receiving Clerk to manage the receipt, inspection, and distribution of goods and supplies for its luxury hotel destination in Abu Dhabi. The role ensures all deliveries meet specifications and are accurately recorded before being forwarded to the appropriate departments.

Key responsibilities

• Receive deliveries from approved suppliers during designated receiving hours.
• Verify goods against purchase orders, delivery notes, invoices and specifications, checking quantities, quality, condition, packaging, expiry dates, batch numbers and product descriptions.
• Identify and report shortages, overages, damages, substitutions, expired items or incorrect deliveries.
• Record received items accurately in the inventory or stock‑control system and maintain proper receiving documentation.
• Apply receiving procedures for Food & Beverage, Housekeeping, Recreation, Engineering, Security, Finance and other departments.
• Coordinate with the Storekeeper to transfer accepted goods to the correct storage areas, handling temperature‑sensitive, fragile, valuable or hazardous items appropriately.
• Maintain a clean, organized, secure and professional receiving area.
• Liaise with Procurement, Finance, Stores, suppliers and department representatives regarding delivery schedules and discrepancies, obtaining approvals for rejected or non‑compliant deliveries.

• Integrity and ability to coordinate with multiple internal and external stakeholders.
• Ability to handle temperature‑sensitive, fragile, valuable and hazardous items safely.
