Recreation Attendant

About the role

We are seeking an energetic and friendly Recreation Attendant to join the recreation team at InterContinental Abu Dhabi. The role involves ensuring guests have a safe, relaxing and memorable experience across our pool, beach and other leisure facilities.

Key responsibilities

• Welcome guests, provide information about recreation facilities and services.
• Supply towels and other items, and ensure they are replenished as needed.
• Set up and maintain pool, beach and leisure areas according to hotel standards.
• Keep sun loungers, umbrellas, towels and surrounding areas clean, organized and presentable.
• Monitor recreation areas for cleanliness, maintenance and safety issues and report promptly.
• Assist guests with enquiries and respond to requests in a professional manner.
• Support the organization of recreational activities and special events.
• Coordinate with lifeguards, housekeeping, engineering, security and other departments.
• Handle, store and maintain recreation equipment and storage areas.
• Follow opening and closing procedures and all health, safety and security protocols.

Required profile

• Previous experience as a Recreation, Pool or Beach Attendant or in a similar guest‑facing hospitality role.
• Experience working within a hotel environment.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to high service standards.
