Recreation Attendant

About the role

The Recreation Attendant ensures guests enjoy a safe, clean and welcoming pool and beach environment at Sofitel Dubai The Palm. You will deliver personalized, locally‑inspired service, supporting guests throughout their leisure experience.

Key responsibilities

• Greet guests, issue towels, chaise‑lounge covers and assist with set‑up of loungers and cabanas.
• Collect and remove used towels and debris from pool decks continuously.
• Maintain pool area cleanliness, ambience and safety standards.
• Promote and upsell wellness and recreation services to maximise revenue.
• Perform opening and closing duties, including pool set‑up according to hotel procedures.
• Follow fire, life‑safety and emergency response protocols.
• Assist with any additional tasks delegated by hotel management.

Required profile

• Minimum of one year experience as a recreation or pool attendant.
• Strong customer‑service orientation with ability to engage guests warmly.
• Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.
• Professional appearance and personal hygiene.

Required skills

• Basic knowledge of recreational equipment and pool facilities.
• First aid awareness and emergency response procedures.
