Refrigeration Technician

About the role

The Emirates Palace Mandarin Oriental in Abu Dhabi is seeking a skilled Refrigeration Technician to join its Engineering team. You will ensure that all refrigeration and air‑conditioning equipment across the luxury hotel operates efficiently and reliably, supporting the high standards expected by guests.

Key responsibilities

• Perform repair and routine maintenance on walk‑in cold rooms, freezers and other commercial/industrial refrigeration units.
• Carry out preventive maintenance programmes for refrigeration and HVAC systems.
• Diagnose and fix electrical control system faults on refrigeration equipment.
• Respond to guest maintenance requests within 15 minutes of receipt.
• Maintain clean and tidy appearance, uniform and work areas, including plant rooms and workshops.
• Observe and enforce safety standards to protect yourself and colleagues.
• Undertake related duties, special projects and support other departments during events or promotions.

Required profile

• Minimum 2–3 years of experience in operation, maintenance and repair of refrigeration and air‑conditioning systems, preferably in a hotel or hospitality environment.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC systems and commercial refrigeration equipment.
