Registered Nurse – Women Centre OPD

About the role

The Obstetrics and Gynecology Outpatient Department (OPD) needs a Registered Nurse to provide professional nursing care to women attending the clinic, record histories, perform tests, administer medication and develop care plans in collaboration with physicians.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver professional nursing care to patients attending the outpatient OB/GYN clinic.
• Record patient histories, perform diagnostic tests and administer prescribed medications.
• Develop individualized care plans in collaboration with physicians and other healthcare professionals.
• Assist physicians during examinations and procedures and operate relevant medical equipment.

Required profile

• Demonstrable experience as a registered nurse caring for low‑ and high‑risk women with obstetric and gynecological issues in an acute setting.
• Understanding of current professional issues in Obstetrics and Gynecology nursing.
• Ability to assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient needs on an ongoing basis.
• Commitment to updating patients and relatives with accurate, culturally sensitive information.
• Respect for patient rights, dignity, privacy and confidentiality.
• Participation in audits, quality‑improvement activities and adherence to hospital policies and JCIA standards.
