Research Faculty Position in Nonlinear Dynamics (Applied Mathematics)

About the role

The Nonlinear Dynamics Research Center (NDRC) at Ajman University seeks a full‑time research faculty member (Research Assistant, Associate Professor, or Professor) in Applied Mathematics. The successful candidate will lead high‑impact research, contribute to teaching, and help secure external funding.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct advanced research in nonlinear dynamics, fractional calculus, mathematical modeling, and control theory.
• Publish results in high‑impact, Scopus‑indexed Q1/Q2 journals and present at international conferences.
• Deliver lectures, workshops, and supervise graduate research projects and dissertations.
• Develop and submit competitive grant proposals to obtain external research funding.
• Organize workshops, seminars, and conferences; foster collaborations with industry, government, and academic partners.

Required profile

• Ph.D. in Applied Mathematics or a closely related field from an internationally reputable institution.
• Strong publication record in high‑impact SCOPUS‑indexed journals with a notable h‑index and citation count.
• Proven experience in teaching and supervising undergraduate and postgraduate students.
• Experience in securing and managing external research grants is highly desirable.

Required skills

• Proficiency with mathematical software such as MATLAB, Mathematica, and Maple.
• Advanced LaTeX skills for scientific writing.
• Excellent oral and written communication in English (Arabic a plus).
• Ability to work collaboratively on interdisciplinary research projects.
