Resident Engineer

About the role

The Resident Engineer will lead the delivery of an assigned package, ensuring time, cost, and quality targets are met while maintaining the highest safety standards on site.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise contractors to ensure work complies with specifications and milestone dates.
• Direct the supervision team in daily inspections and progress monitoring.
• Administer FIDIC‑based or standalone contracts and resolve site issues.
• Present progress and package issues to the client team and discuss scope changes.
• Develop and maintain Project Execution, Health & Safety, and Quality Control plans.
• Establish program requirements, monitor staff performance, and control technical, fiscal, and administrative functions.
• Assign responsibilities to subordinates and contribute to performance reviews.
• Collaborate with managers, project engineers, and discipline heads on budgets, schedules, and plans.
• Report progress, milestones, and any factors affecting cost, schedule, or client relations.

Required profile

• Proven experience supervising construction contractors and managing site inspections.
• Strong knowledge of FIDIC contract administration.
• High safety awareness and ability to enforce contractor obligations.
• Excellent communication skills for client and subcontractor interaction.
