About the role
The Support Staff role at Ace Hardware ensures a clean, organized, and shoppable store environment, enhancing the customer experience and driving sales through effective selling techniques and product knowledge.
Key responsibilities
- Provide high-level customer service and maintain tidy store areas.
- Operate the POS system accurately and use selling techniques to meet sales targets.
- Learn product uses, advise customers, and apply merchandising principles to keep the store visually appealing.
- Handle pricing, ticketing, and assist with deliveries, stock takes, and seasonal launches.
Required profile
- Completion of secondary school education.
- At least 2 years of retail experience.
- Knowledge of store operations and point‑of‑sale systems.
- Ability to learn and apply merchandising principles after training.
Required skills
- Excellent customer service and communication.
- Proficiency in operating POS systems and handling cash transactions.
- Strong product knowledge and quick learning ability.
