Safety Assistant – Construction & MEP Projects

About the role

GECO M&E LTD is looking for a motivated Safety Assistant to join its Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) team. You will support daily safety activities across construction, MEP, electrical and industrial sites in the UAE, helping to maintain a safe and compliant work environment.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the HSE team in implementing daily site safety activities.
• Monitor compliance with workplace safety policies and procedures.
• Support Permit to Work (PTW) processes and conduct site safety inspections.
• Promote proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) among workers.
• Participate in Toolbox Talks and other safety awareness initiatives.
• Observe and report unsafe conditions and work practices.
• Maintain safety records, reports, and related documentation.
• Help implement health and safety standards across all project sites.

Required profile

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in HSE, Engineering or a related field.
• 1–3 years of relevant site safety experience.
• Strong communication, observation and reporting abilities.
• NEBOSH, IOSH or OSHA certification is an advantage.
