Safety Officer

About the role

Parsons is seeking an experienced Safety Officer to join its Abu Dhabi team. You will work closely with the Safety Manager and contractors to embed corporate HSE ethics across all project activities.

Key responsibilities

• Implement Parsons HSE policy, plan and legislation, monitor performance and suggest improvements.
• Coordinate with contractors to ensure safety measures and best practices are applied on site.
• Review hazard analysis and risk assessments for key activities and verify effectiveness of control measures.
• Conduct HSE site visits, prepare reports for the Resident Engineer and drive immediate corrective actions.
• Oversee monthly contractor HSE inspections, safety meetings, toolbox talks and emergency preparedness reviews.
• Analyse incident/accident investigations, communicate lessons learned and monitor follow‑up actions.
• Maintain HSE statistics, records and ensure compliance with permit‑to‑work systems.

Required profile

• Degree or diploma in Engineering or a related discipline from a recognized university.
• Minimum 8 years of relevant health‑and‑safety experience.
• Proven ability to work with multidisciplinary teams in a construction or engineering environment.
