Safety Officer – Micro Tunneling Projects

About the role

Parsons is seeking a Safety Officer to support micro‑tunneling infrastructure projects in Dubai. You will work closely with Safety Engineers, the Safety Manager and contractors to ensure the highest standards of health, safety and environmental (HSE) performance on site.

Key responsibilities

• Implement Parsons HSE policy, plans and relevant legislation.
• Monitor HSE performance, targets and suggest improvement measures.
• Review hazard analysis, risk assessments and job safety plans for all key activities.
• Conduct site inspections, HSE visits and report findings to the Resident Engineer.
• Oversee contractors’ compliance with safety measures, emergency preparedness, permit‑to‑work systems and toolbox talks.
• Review and follow‑up on incident/accident investigation reports.
• Lead monthly safety meetings, prepare minutes and track corrective actions.

Required profile

• B.Sc. or equivalent degree in Environmental, Loss Prevention or related engineering discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of HSE experience on infrastructure or construction projects.
• Strong knowledge of UAE HSE legislation and international standards.
