Sales Engineer – Fire Alarm & Fire Protection Systems

About the role

The Sales Engineer will join Johnson Controls’ Sales‑Contracting team in Abu Dhabi, focusing on fire alarm and fire protection solutions for the oil & gas sector across the Middle East and Africa. Reporting to the Sales Manager, you will drive new business, build long‑term customer relationships and support the company’s growth objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, qualify and close new sales opportunities for fire protection and fire alarm systems.
• Prepare competitive, high‑quality proposals and manage tendering and bidding processes.
• Demonstrate technical expertise to differentiate Johnson Controls from competitors.
• Develop and maintain long‑term customer relationships in the UAE and wider MEA region.
• Design technical solutions, select appropriate equipment and advise customers on optimal configurations.
• Manage multiple priorities, ensuring effective planning and time management.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronics or Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 4 years of relevant sales experience in fire & gas or fire protection systems, preferably within the oil & gas industry.
• Proven track record of achieving sales targets in the UAE market.
• Strong business and technical acumen with the ability to design solutions and advise customers.
• High‑energy, results‑driven attitude and ability to thrive in a fast‑paced environment.
• Fluent English communication skills and a valid UAE driving licence.
