Scaffolding Foreman – Bridge Maintenance

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Scaffolding Foreman to lead all scaffolding and temporary access activities on bridge inspection, maintenance, repair and rehabilitation projects. The role ensures safe erection, modification, inspection and dismantling of scaffolding systems while complying with project specifications, quality standards and HSE requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise erection, modification, inspection and dismantling of various scaffolding types including suspended, cantilever, access platforms, stair towers and working decks.
• Coordinate daily work assignments for scaffolders and subcontractors, conduct toolbox talks and monitor productivity.
• Collaborate with engineers, maintenance teams, rope‑access crews, QA/QC, HSE staff and client representatives to align scaffold activities with project schedules.
• Enforce HSE and permit‑to‑work procedures, working‑at‑height protocols, rescue plans and fall‑protection measures.
• Perform routine inspections, certify and tag scaffolds, and ensure compliance with approved designs and industry standards.
• Manage scaffold material inventory, storage, condition monitoring and maintain registers, inspection records and daily reports.

Required profile

• High School Certificate or technical qualification.
• 5–8 years of scaffolding experience, including at least 3 years in a foreman or supervisory role.
• Proven experience on bridge maintenance, rehabilitation or similar infrastructure projects.
