Scheduling & Planning Engineer – Document Control (Power Generation)

About the role

We are seeking a Scheduling/Planning Engineer with document control experience to support EPC schedule monitoring, progress reporting, critical path analysis, and document management for a confidential power generation IPP project in Dubai.

Key responsibilities

• Review and monitor EPC contractor schedules covering design, procurement, construction, commissioning, and start‑up.
• Audit contractor planning procedures and ensure compliance with approved reporting requirements.
• Analyse critical path, schedule logic, progress updates, delay risks and recovery plans.
• Prepare inputs for weekly, monthly and dashboard reports, as well as trend analysis.
• Coordinate with discipline engineers to verify actual site progress and milestone achievement.
• Maintain the integrated project schedule and support schedule‑related risk identification.
• Establish and manage the project document centre/EDMS, tracking drawings, submittals, correspondence and approvals.
• Ensure timely distribution, storage and retrieval of project documents in line with procedures.
• Support payment milestone review, progress verification, claims analysis and change‑order review where required.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management or a related discipline.
• 8–10 years of planning and scheduling experience on EPC or construction projects.
• Strong background in power generation, energy, utilities, industrial or infrastructure projects.
• Proven proficiency with Primavera P6 and MS Project.
• Experience with document control systems/EDMS.
• Knowledge of critical‑path analysis, progress measurement and delay monitoring.
• Excellent coordination and reporting abilities.
