Science Teacher – KS3 & KS4

About the role

GEMS Cambridge International School in Abu Dhabi is looking for an enthusiastic Science Teacher to deliver KS3 and KS4 lessons in Physics or Chemistry starting August 2026. The role involves inspiring curiosity, deepening scientific understanding and fostering a love of learning in a supportive, collaborative environment.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver the KS3 and KS4 science curriculum with up‑to‑date subject knowledge.
• Create a safe, clean and clutter‑free classroom that promotes optimal student outcomes.
• Plan, prepare and differentiate lessons to meet the varying abilities of all students.
• Assign, correct and mark work in line with the school’s marking policy.
• Assess, record and report on student progress, behaviour and attainment.
• Analyse assessment data and adapt teaching practice to ensure every learner reaches their potential.
• Contribute to the school development plan and participate in student appraisal processes.
• Provide guidance on educational and social matters, supporting students’ further education pathways.

Required profile

• Enthusiastic, dedicated and able to engage students across Key Stages 3 and 4.
• Specialist knowledge in Physics or Chemistry.
• Commitment to delivering high‑quality lessons that align with the National Curriculum Framework.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a school community and uphold high expectations for all learners.
