Security Officer – Hotel Safety & Pool Management

About the role

The Security Officer ensures a safe and secure environment for guests, staff, and assets at the hotel. This role combines safety management, pool hygiene oversight, and proactive risk mitigation within a hospitality setting.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, implement and maintain safety policies in line with local, national and international regulations.
• Conduct regular safety inspections, risk assessments and audits to identify hazards.
• Lead safety training sessions for all employees and promote a culture of safety.
• Investigate accidents, incidents and near‑misses, produce detailed reports and recommend corrective actions.
• Maintain accurate records of incidents, training, inspections and corrective measures.
• Ensure proper use and availability of personal protective equipment (PPE) and safety gear.
• Act as the primary point of contact for all safety‑related matters, providing guidance and support.
• Oversee pool cleanliness and equipment maintenance to meet health and safety standards.
• Utilise communication tools to disseminate safety information promptly.
• Coach team members, review procedures and drive continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Proven experience in occupational health and safety, preferably within the hospitality sector.
• Strong knowledge of safety regulations and risk assessment methodologies.
• Excellent communication and training skills.
• Ability to investigate incidents, prepare reports and implement corrective actions.
• Team‑oriented mindset with a focus on delivering high‑quality guest experiences.
