Security Officer

About the role

The Security Officer ensures the safety of guests, employees and assets across the hotel property. Working closely with the loss‑prevention team, the officer patrols all areas, monitors security systems and responds swiftly to incidents.

Key responsibilities

• Patrol the entire property, assist guests with room access and lock entrances when required.
• Monitor CCTV, perimeter alarm, duress alarms and fire‑life‑safety systems.
• Conduct daily physical‑hazard inspections and report safety issues.
• Respond to accidents, provide first aid/CPR, and coordinate with EMS.
• Handle guest or employee disturbances, defuse conflicts and escort unwelcome persons.
• Complete incident reports, loss‑prevention shift summaries and daily activity logs.
• Investigate incidents, gather evidence and interview relevant parties.
• Maintain confidentiality of all security and property information.

Required profile

• Ability to stand, walk or sit for extended periods and move quickly when needed.
• Professional appearance and adherence to uniform standards.
• Strong communication skills and ability to interact courteously with guests.
• Willingness to follow company policies, safety procedures and complete required training.

Required skills

• Proficiency in operating Closed‑Circuit Television (CCTV) systems.
• Experience with alarm‑system monitoring (perimeter, duress, fire).
• First aid and CPR certification or ability to administer emergency care.
• Incident reporting and documentation.
